Founded in 1979 as Egypt's first privately owned glass manufacturer, Middle East Glass (MEG) has grown to become the undisputed leader in glass container manufacturing and export across the MENA region. What began as a single facility serving Egypt's carbonated soft drink industry has evolved into a world-class operation with 3 manufacturing plants, 6 furnaces, 17 production lines, and the largest glass decoration capacity in the MENA region. MEG is publicly listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange and serves some of the world's most recognised brands. With over 50% of production destined for export and customers across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, MEG is now focused on deepening its presence in African markets – bringing high-quality, sustainably produced, fully certified glass packaging solutions to food, beverage, and pharmaceutical companies across the continent.
PRODUCT RANGE:
• Food Jars: Glass jars for jams, honey, pickles, sauces, and preserved foods
• Specialty Bottles: Custom-designed glass bottles for spirits, olive oil, and premium food products
• Juice Bottles: Glass bottles for juices, nectars, and still beverages
• Carbonated Bottles: Glass bottles for carbonated soft drinks, sparkling water, and beer
• Pharmaceutical Bottles: Glass containers for medicines, syrups, and health products
• Other Bottles: Decorative and customised glass containers for various end usesAll products are available in three glass colours: Flint (clear), Amber, and Green. MEG operates 3 manufacturing plants (Nasr City, Sadat City, Mostorod), 6 furnaces, 17 production lines, and 10 decorating machines, with a total annual production capacity of over 350,000 tons/year. More than 50% of MEG's production is exported internationally.
